Day 3: My Early Riser!

My Early Riser!

3/30 Days of Gratitude

I always set my alarm to 4:30 am but get out of bed at 5:00 am. It's a daily routine (Monday-Friday) since my son needs to leave the house before 7 am.

I’m still a work in progress, still slow, I know. Having my mom-in-law before, I’m still adjusting to a life without help now. And let me tell you, the struggle is real! (cliche but true haha)

I also don’t want to wake up so early coz my sleeping 2-year-old daughter knows when Mama isn’t at her side. Yup, she would always wake up and cry at the middle of my busy-ness (like when I’m cooking) till I carry and comfort her to stop crying. (You get the picture now, Moms!).

So 5:00 am is a bit OK for me to start the day.

But today’s a weekend and my human body wanted to catch some more sleep too, you know 😁

“I’ll get up at 7:00 am,” I thought to myself, looking at my baby daughter sleeping soundly.

Then suddenly,

“Mama, gising na Mama…(Mama, wake up Mama),” while she pulled down my blanket as she continued to say those words.

There she was, all alert and active! Ohh, she’s such an early riser.

It was only 6:00 am. I was still a sleepyhead but what could I do?

Well...I guess time to report to my little boss now!

Every morning is a blessing but I feel "today" is extra special - it’s my baby's first time to say those words. She really surprises me every day!

How did you start your day, Moms?
