Life Lately + New Blog Series

Life Lately + New Blog Series, The Cheerful Spirit

Hello dear readers! It's been a while. Hope you're doing great. :)

This blog hasn't been updated regularly. I know. I know and I hate it.
I hate that my writing groove’s being halted every time.
You know that feeling when you’ve got thousands of ideas in your head then suddenly you can’t even start?
I blame distractions. You know kids and other stuff #motherhood haha.

But more than that, in my case, I’m usually trapped in overthinking, procrastination, lack of time, my so-called perfectionism and then excuses and more excuses... I don’t even know where this post is leading lol.

Please excuse my random rants, lovelies. Those are really part of my warm-up, you know :)

Let me just share with you some updates about me and this blog too.

MAJOR LIFE CHANGES

Okay, my life seems to move in a flash lately. One time I was in Manila living in my, not so comfort zone, to find myself staying for good, hopefully (after more than 2 decades!) in this charming town turned city. Yep, here, where I spent the first 16 years of my life...the place where all my dreams began...and now I’m finally back!

It feels so nostalgic, exciting, happy and a bit scary all together knowing that I’ll be traveling the uncertainties again, in this place I once called home.

The only difference is I’m not alone anymore. I have my small squad with me - my two precious ones and my hubby who’ll be visiting frequently (since he works in Manila).

Still, I can’t help but ask myself, Will we be okay here?”

“Will I be able to take care of my two kids by myself, without any help since my mother-in-law’s no longer with us?”

"Will I find my dream job which is teaching or will I be able to launch a thriving business online so I could work from home?”

"Will I be HAPPY here?”

All my life, I just want to be happy. But sometimes we’re put in a situation hard enough for us to fathom.

Living in Manila has put me in a roller coaster ride I never imagined. Heartbreaking, yes some of it, but it molded me to become a more resilient and stronger person more than ever. Oh, I sound so serious now…

on the other hand, BLOG UPDATES

Well, lately I’m thinking of creating another blog series (at least to save me time on thinking about what topics to write next ). Do you remember the first one I wrote here?
Since it’s going to be a new chapter in our lives and I love that blogging is making me more reflective ( in a way, it’s therapeutic ), I’m going to start a 30-day blog challenge. I want to see if I can be as committed and determined as my younger self, at least for this small project.

So for the next 30 days, I’m going to share my gratitude stories. My goal is to live simply and happily even in the most ordinary of times. And that begins by being grateful for what we have. Remember friends, no blessing is so small not to be appreciated.

30 Days of Gratitude
Day 1: Everyday View from Home
Day 2: Precious Gifts
Day 3: My Early Riser!
Day 4-6: I Shouldn't be Blogging but I Did It Anyway...
Day 7: Nanay, Talking to You is Always the Best!
Day 8: Hon, You Never Fail to Surprise Me!
