It Started Like This | My First Step to Blogging

My "blogger wannabe" self starts when my "world" begins to sleep. And by that, I'm talking about my cuddly "Baby O" lying beside me. It's quite a challenge to write especially in this position but I'm actually loving it. Anyway, so much for the sidelights...

Let me just give you a little background on how I began my blogging journey.

When I first put up this blog, I've got so many topics in mind but those were mostly about random things. My brain was always restless that time, thus I needed a creative outlet. 

Then I chanced upon this wonderful website - ChasingDreams on one of my reading sessions at night. 



This site doesn't only offer valuable resources for bloggers but a true eye candy as well! If you're anything like me who loves the aesthetics, I bet you would fall in love with it. 

Ms. Rhiza Oyos, the site owner and who I now consider an expert is so talented, relatable and generous as she gives a free 7 day e-course for bloggers. (You may want to sign up. Trust me, it's very helpful.)

Hence, the "excited me" subscribed to her instantly. And while browsing through the e-course's topics, this Blogging with a Purpose and Finding Your Niche in The Market got me the most.

Whew! This is getting technical huh? 

You're right! Especially for a starter like me who has zero knowledge in blogging but wants to take it seriously to the next level.

The way I understand Ms. Oyos, that means I have to redefine my random blog content ideas and streamline my goals and interest. 

To be more specific, let me share with you my honest insights  (and some confessions 😄 ) as I dig deeper on those topics above.

ON BLOGGING WITH A PURPOSE

Why do I blog?

I thought of creating this blog site years back primarily just to hone my writing skills and creativity since I got those stuck into oblivion (lol).

But it's just recently that my desire grew so strong while I watched my little baby sleeping soundly. I was so overwhelmed that I thought I could write a thousand and one poems just for her! 

That moment, she rekindled the flame that's been inside of me. She's the catalyst who started it all and the CHEERFUL SPIRIT who brings only pure joy to my heart :)

Hence, the name of the site, which I will share to you, my dear readers for the purpose of inspiring, motivating or hopefully just for you to learn something from it. 

This blog also aims to immortalize my own stories, thoughts and ideas here in cyberspace. 


ON FINDING YOUR UNIQUE NICHE AND THEME

With millions of bloggers all over the net, how can you stand out in the market?

I'm not sure though. I just want to stay genuine and original when it comes to writing. I'm the type who writes to express, not to impress. 

I speak my heart through the stroke of my pen and this blog site will serve as my platform to share the things that matter to me. Expect me to write about motherhood, passion, relationship and reflections on life's lessons.


Who do I blog for?

That being asked, I now blog not only for myself but for everyone who shares the same experiences and joys as mine as a mother, a wife and a woman- strengthened by pains and struggles and continues to strive for the best.
